Houston, Tranquility Base Here, The Willingham’s Have Landed…….

3/02/22-3/08/22 We haven’t quite landed in Houston, but we are close by. We’ve arrived at Surfside Texas which is about an hours drive to Houston, meaning an hours drive to theJohnson Space Center! Once again we are camped near the beach at a RV park called The Breeze. We have a great view of the Gulf, and a very short walk to the beach. But, the most interesting part about this location is going to the Space Center! Can’t wait to see Mission Control where they controlled the first manned landing on the Moon.

A beach sun rise!
A short video of our walk to the beach
Ok, so we went a little nuts on ordering the house drink specials. I think there is a kitchen sink in there somewhere! And yes, Al drank it.
The view of the Gulf from our rig!
We took a drive to Galveston TX which was about 45 minutes away
Lots of drinks too. We ate lunch in Galveston at “The Fish Tail” and that’s not a tall tale!
Lots of photos of good food cuz we ate a lot of good food!
Craft artists have started a trend of leaving interesting art in locations for you to find and take home.
Surfside dunes have been damaged by hurricanes and they use Christmas trees to help capture the sand to rebuild them
