3/26-3/31 Monte Sano is a gorgeous Alabama state park located near Huntsville. It is up in the hills and full of spectacular old growth trees, gigantic rocks, and an overall tranquil feeling. We planned on being here for 5 days. Buuuuuut, the threat of and likelihood of high winds, especially in mountainous areas, tornados, and torrential rain caused us to shorten our stay and bail out towards better weather.

The park had lots of great trails that we explored.

Staying warm by the fire. It got pretty cold up in the hills.
Debi doing her best Shakespeare imitation. Monte Sano has a lodge and amphitheater where they host various plays. I think they need to hire Debi as a leading performer.
A trip to Huntsville wouldn’t be complete without a visit to the Space and Rocket Center!
