The Really Old South, Savanah GEorgia

4/11-4/15 There is a lot of interesting history and events that occurred in Savanah and it would take weeks to explore and take in all that happened here. We were spending 4 days here so we opted for the bus tour of the city and it was great. The unfortunate part of the bus tour is that is was not conducive to good photo ops. Although we did get a lot of interesting history tidbits from the tour guide. The other part that limited more exploration was the narrow city streets and lack of parking, particularly for our big ass dually truck.

Besides exploring the great city of Savanah, we stayed at an amazing Georgia state park called Skidaway Island State Park. Whenever we told locals where we were staying the exclaimed their admiration of the park. We would agree.

One of the interesting places we were able to explore was a railroad museum. It has an operating locomotive that will take you on brief ride around their rail yard.
All Aboard! I’ve never seen a hotter looking conductor!

Debi said I could outfit my workshop with these tools. Its pretty amazing that the made sophisticated machines with these rudimentary tools.
I could drill a hole through anything with the drill press.
