Mooooooooooooo! Does the name Tillamook sound familiar? Maybe the anme of something you find in the dairy section? Say CHEESE! Tillamook is where the cheese brand Tillamook is made. They make all kinds of wonderful cheese and so we took a tour of the factory. Talk about a lot of curds and whey. Fascinating info about how cheese is made. Tillamook cheese is actually a co-op of local dairy farmers.
We went to one of the shortest lighthouse in the U.S. You can go into the and see the prisms and lantern they used. Its not in use anymore but still cool to visit. Great views of the from the lighthouse!
Don’t think we’ve ever seen a beach this big. As you can tell by the lack of footprints its either a very shallow beach area or low tide. Actually its both!
OK, there were footprints in the beach, but not human prints. Maybe Sasquatch needed some beach time. Actually, they’re Elk hoof prints. There were a lot of them on the beach. The Oregon forests usually extend al the way to the coast so Elk prints wouldn’t be that unusual. BTW, Sasquatch is also found around here too!
